Dr. Lawrence B. Ashkinazy completed his undergraduate studies at Life College School of Undergraduate Studies, now known as Life University located in Atlanta, Ga. Upon graduating from Life Chiropractic College, Dr. Ashkinazy obtained state licensure in Georgia and Florida. He holds National Board I, II, III Certifications as well as a Florida physiotherapy certification. Dr. Ashkinazy has practiced in Florida for 27 years. He served as vice-president and clinical director of a multi-medical office, multi-specialty corporation for 30 years. He utilizes non-surgical spinal decompression for the treatment and correction of back and neck pain/problems such as disc herniations, spinal stenosis, neuropathy and degenerative changes that can occur to the disc(s) and vertebrae. This treatment is often in conjunction with laser therapy and other modalities. He also incorporates other chiropractic techniques, such as Activator, Full Spine Diversified, Flexion/Distraction and Drop Table.
Patients have traveled near and far for the caring nature that Dr. Ashkinazy provides for those injured in car accidents, slip and falls, sports injuries, work injuries, or suffering from arm and leg pain, headaches, and in need of posture correction, as well as maintaining spinal health. “No two patients are alike.” “It is important that the appropriate technique(s) combined with the appropriate therapeutics and treatment protocols are specific to each individual.”
He believes that physical fitness and nutrition are also important factors in regaining and maintaining health. He incorporates this philosophy in the treatment of his patients through exercise, stretching, strengthening, weight loss and nutritional counseling. He is an active cyclist, often riding in charity events to help raise money for causes such as diabetes, heart disease and cancer. In addition, he is an advocate of weight loss to fight diabetes and heart disease.
